Windows Azure Service Bus - Alan Smith
Monday, March 26, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM (CEST)
The Windows Azure Service Bus provides connectivity and messaging capabilities in the cloud.
The relay service provides a means of enabling internet connectivity to services and devices internal networks. The brokered messaging capabilities of the Windows Azure Service Bus add enterprise class durable messaging to the Windows Azure platform. Point-to-point and publish-subscribe messaging patters are provided by queues, topics and subscriptions. Message routing, expiration, message sessions and correlation allow sophisticated and reliable messaging systems to be implemented.
This demo intensive session will show how these capabilities can be leveraged from both cloud-based and on-premise applications. It will also provide guidance and tips on using service bus brokered messaging in real world scenarios and show comparisons with on-premise messaging solutions such as BizTalk Server and MSMQ.
About the Presenter
Alan has recently published “Windows Azure Service Bus Developer Guide”, a free e-book aimed at developers working with the Service Bus. The current version provides detailed coverage of the brokered messaging capabilities. The guide will evolve, with new content being added as new features evolve in the Service Bus.
He has been a Microsoft MVP for eight years, the first four a BizTalk Server and later as a “Connected Systems Developer” MVP. He is an active member of the Microsoft Application Server Group advisor team and provides regular feedback to the Microsoft development teams on emerging Windows Azure technologies.
